Here I present: ECCP, “The Man-Made World”, Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, 1971, PART TWO (2).

INTRODUCTION.

STEM is an acronym used for Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. It is an acronym used for education subject areas. Two (2) variants of the acronym are STEAM and STEMM where A is Arts / Agriculture the second M is Medicine.

COMMENTS.

The acronym STEM contains the essence of the education debate of what science curriculum should be. ECCP, “The Man-Made World”, Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, 1971 focused on engineering curriculum. Biology is the concern of the A (agriculture), and M (medicine). Today, life science education is a very different subject than in 1971. We live era when life science must is forced in the digital areas of STEM. Programming of computers, and computer networks were not areas of Medicine and Agricultural in 1971. STEM has varied use today but it is constructive in various acronym forms.

OPINION. 
 
Arthur Koestler, “Act of Creation”, 1964 is the issue that STEM  or STEAM can not address.  Creativity is not a curriculum of either Science or Art.  The interjections HA-HA, AH & AHA are events when humorist, artist & scientist experience creativity.
