INTRODUCTION.
The ⵜⴼⵏⵗ ”tifinagh” is a script used to write Berber languages. I live in Los Angeles, California USA and the ⵜⴼⵏⵗ “tifinagh” script I saw was on the someone’s “tee-shirt”. My first reaction to the “Berber diaspora” is simply another group in Los Angeles, California where three-hundred (300) languages are spoken. Arabization means that people of Berber-African heritage use a foreign script of West-Asians for their languages. When I stopped an asked, they were happy to talk about ⵜⴼⵏⵗ “tifinagh” script and Berber-African etholinguistic identity as not West-Asian.
