Here I present: Hermann Staudinger, “Macromolecular Chemistry”, NOBEL PRIZE LECTURE”, 11 December 1953, PART TWO (II).
INTRODUCTION.
DNA Day is a United States holiday celebrated on April 25, commemorating the day in 1953 when James Watson & Francis Crick discovered the double-helix DNA “macromolecular chemistry”. Hermann Staudinger gave his NOBEL PRIZE LECTURE’ on the 11 December 1953. “Macromolecular Chemistry” was literally founded by Hermann Staudinger; and, his table of “Classification of Macromolecular Substances” is shown BELOW.

The implications of 25 April 1953 publication by Watson-Crick is the reason Hermann Staudinger was awarded the NOBEL PRIZE.
Fifty (50) years later in 2003 the DNA sequence of man was completed, and holiday status was granted to 25 April 1953.
Before 1953 only Hermann Staudinger believed molecules could be chromosomal DNA size. Hermann Staudinger was the foundation of macromolecular chemistry.
