Madagascar is an Indian Ocean Island shown in theBELOW. There is alternative terms of Malayo-Polynesian and Austronesian of taxon group of the Malagasy language of Madagascar.
The “official language” of Madagascar is Malagasy with 17 million speakers of this Austronesian language. The Austronesian language phylum has over 486 million speakers in the map ABOVE. In the map BELOW we can see the connections of Madagascar to other Austronesian language population.
As stated in earlier post, there are three (3) linguistic superphyla that covers most areas of the world. The three (3) superphyla are: Austric, Nostratic & Dene-Caucasian.
Official Malagasy of Madagascar is in the language of the Austronesian branch of the Austric superphyla shown BELOW.
