H. G. Wells, “The Shape of Things to Come”, 1933 is a “future history“. A future history is a postulated history of the future: and, is used by authors of science fiction and other speculative fiction to construct a common background for fiction.
H. G. Wells, “The Shape of Things to Come”, was published in 1933. It takes the form of a future history which ends in 2106. This year is 2022 and many future predictions forecast by H. G. Wells did come to past in the 1940’s. “The Shape of Things to Come”, 1933 correctly predicted World War II. The novel was adapted to a 1936 film entitled, “Things to Come” produced by Alexander Korda & directed by William Cameron Menzies.
