“Old Babylonian” is phonetically described by the syllabary table (shown below). The writer, Terrien De Lacouperie asserted that “Ancient Chinese” and “Old Babylonian” were two languages with a common origin. The interesting thing about this assertion was on “Chinese Characters” equating with “Babylonian Cuneiforms”. Similarly, “Egyptian Hieroglyphics” are written elements functioning the same as “Babylonian Cuneiforms”. In all three languages, the “graphemes” retains its semantic-meaning visually; while, different “word-sounds” are attributed to the “graphemes”.
Terrien De Lacouperie, “Old Babylonian Characters and their Chinese Derivatives”, 1888 was a linguistic science book that proposed the classification of “Old Babylonian” and “Ancient Chinese” as genetically related languages.
