Ivan Petrovich Pavlov, “The Works of the Digestive Glands”, 1897, was the topic of an earlier blog post. Here I present Wilhelm Max Wundt, “Principles of Physiological Psychology”, 1874 which influenced the work of Ivan Petrovich Pavlov. Wilhelm Max Wundt is the “father of modern Psychology”; and, the first person to refer himself as a “Psychologist”. Wundt was the first to distinguish “Psychology” as separate from both “Philosophy” and “Physiology . Wilhelm Max Wundt, “Principles of Physiological Psychology”, 1874 was the first experimental psychology textbook ever written.
