Casimir Funk, “The Vitamines”, 1922 was the topic of an earlier blog post. In that blog post, I said Casimir Funk was the discoverer of niacin (Vitamin-B3). In the table above, I show the “B-Vitamins” including niacin (Vitamin-B3). The “numerals”: 1,2,3,5,6,7,9,12 designate groups of “biochemical similars”. In the table, the substances are metabolic equals and share the same “vitamin number”. This post is for the “label-reading” person that is confused by the different terms.
