INTRODUCTION.
Every student of music learns that a “chest pulse” is a “music note“. A “chest pulse” in linguistics is a “syllable“. “Syllable” is by definition: an obligatory “vowel” at the core; are optional “consonant” at the margin. Mayan musicolinguistics has the phonetic “syllabary” shown BELOW in representation of the “Waveform Alphabet” BENEATH.
J. Eric S. Thompson, “A Catalog of Maya Hieroglyphs”, 1962 was a breakthrough in decipherment of the ancient Maya language. The Maya syllabary can be compared with the ancient Japanese manyogana syllabary.
