Here I present: “Biological Sequence”, Victor McKusick, Mendelian Inheritance in Man’, 1966.
INTRODUCTION.
Biological sequence is molecular DNA, arranged as a linear chain of nucleotides. These sequences contain the genetic code and instructions for biological functions, and are used in bioinformatics’ for various analyses, including comparing sequences to understand evolutionary relationships, predicting protein function, and identifying genetic variations.
Chromosome #8 has 145,138,636 bp (base pairs) along the lenght of DNA in the chromosome (shown ATOP). Biological sequence recognition is localization of the genetic disorders along the DNA lenght of chromosome #8.
