Here I present: “Schizophrenia”, Victor McKusick, Mendelian Inheritance in Man’, 1966. (SCZD) 精神分裂症。icd10=F20.9

INTRODUCTION.

While there is no cure for schizophrenia (SCZD) research is leading to innovative and safer treatments. Experts also continue to unravel the causes of the disease by studying genetics, conducting behavioral research, and using advanced imaging to look at the brain’s structure and function. These approaches hold the promise of new, and more effective therapies.


Schizophrenia (SCZD) has two (2) different genes on chromosome six (6) of the short (p) & long (q) arms, designated SCZD3 & SCZD5.

There is evidence that schizophrenia is encoded on cytogenetic locations 6p23 & 6q13-q26 of genomic coordinates 6:13,400,001-15,200,000 and 6:69,200,001-164,100,000 . The screenshots of the SCZD3 & SCZD5: 1,800,000 bp & 94,900,000 bp (base pairs) of DNA sequence length is shown BELOW.  Nine (9) other genes besides SCZD3 & SCZD5 on the six (6) chromosomal cytogenetic locations are listed BENEATH.
