Here I present: Oliver Sacks, “SEEING VOICES: A Journey into the World of the Deaf”, 1989, PART THREE (3).
INTRODUCTION.
Oliver Sacks, “SEEING VOICES: Journey into the World of the Deaf”, 1989 was about deafness by the neurologist Oliver Sacks. The deaf community of a particular language gets over their soundless barrier using hand signs. ATOP are two (2) languages of American Sign Language (ALS) and Persian Sign Language (PLS). The Persian language is two (2) different regional dialects: Iranian Persian & Afghan Persian.
BELOW is a diagram of the brain, showing the “Fusiform Gyrus”. The “Fusiform Gyrus” functions in normal people as a “pattern recognition” area. Dyslexic (readless) people account for nine (9) percent of the world population. Dyslexia (readless) is the most common neurodevelopment disorder globally. Deaf sign language is reading for those suffering the disorder of deafness.
