COMMENTS.
The book deals with the move to non-transistor computing. Gordon Moore of Intel is known for his transistors-in-microchip equation (shown BELOW). The triode of Lee Deforest was the vacuum-tube equivalent of the transistor. The classical computers are designed as a Alan Turing machine: quantum computers are designed as a Richard Feynman machine.
