SUMMARY.
The task that Joshua Bowen’ & Megan Lewis’ present of learning to read the “ancient language” of Sumerian is comparable to the learning to read the “modern languages” written in kanji’ (Chinese and Japanese).
The numerical sense of the logograms in Sumerian and Chinese is comparable; and, the beginning student must grasp this basic concept.
