George Takei as a child (as depicted in the graphic above) was forced under “Executive Order 9066” of 19 February 1942 into internment camps with 120,000 other 120,000 Japanese-Americans.
George Takei was recognized for his “activism” in telling what his life with parents was like in the Japanese-American internment.
