H. G. Wells, “A Story of the Stone Age”, 1897 was a prehistoric, fiction novel. The protagonist is a caveman named “Ugh-lomi” during the Stone Age time. “Ugh-lomi” learns how to fashion “stone” and wood into “tools” and “weapons”. Ugh-lomi” becomes the first man to ride a “horse”. “Eudena” is a young, woman that protagonist Ugh-lomi falls in love with. “Uya” the leader of the tribe also wants “Eudena”. “Ugh-lomi” kills his rival “Uya” with a “stone knife”. The horse riding; and, tools making “Ugh-lomi” now is elected tribe leader.

The added uses of “wood” tools and “firewood”; thus, caveman becomes “cook”. The cavemen that began “cooking”, domesticated themselves into “humans” with the cooking “traits”. H. G. Wells is as capable writing in the Stone Age, as he is in the Space Age of “The Time Machine”.
