Margaret Mead, “Coming of Age in Samoa: A Psychological Study of Primitive Youth for Western Civilization”, 1928 was an anthropological study Samoan youth. This study of the psychology of gender and sexuality, made this book a best-seller for Margaret Mead while she was still in her twenties. Ruth Benedict was colleague and lover of Margaret Mead, who both became cultural icons in the 1960’s sexual revolution.
