The year 1543 AD is considered the start of the “Scientific Revolution” in Western society. Charles Percy Snow’s 1959 book, “The Two Cultures and the Scientific Revolution” is science versus humanities (arts). Scientist, versus Humanist (both Humorist and Artist) is a grouping that Arthur Koestler’s 1964 “Act of Creation” considers. C. P. Snow’s book was about culture and science conflict, and is a debate that is ongoing today.
