Julia Child, Louisette Bertholle & Simone Beck, “Mastering the Art of French Cooking”, 1961 was a collection of French recipes cookbook. Child, Bertholle & Beck had meet in Paris, France and had earlier attempts at cooking recipes. This time the writers succeed, this book would be the basis for the Julia Child television cooking show. I remember watching television late in Julia Child’s cooking career when she was in the kitchen with Martha Stewart. Martha Stewart and Julia Child together, no one could match that again. “Mastering the Art of French Cooking”, 1961 is an essential cookbook in all kitchens.
