Marina Seabright, Rapid Banding Technique Human Chromosomes’, Lancet, year 1971, pages 971-972 was the topic of an earlier blog post.
Here I present: David Freifelder, PHYSICAL BIOCHEMISTRY’ Applications to Biochemistry’ & Molecular Biology, 1976, PART TWO (2) 物理生物化學。
INTRODUCTION.
When David Freifelder, Physical Biochemistry’, 1976 was published it was with a discussion of the breakthrough of Marina Seabright with chromosome banding.
Kensal E. VanHolde, Physical Biochemistry’, 1971 was a typical textbook on the subject of Physical Biochemistry’. The idea of starting the textbook with direct observation by microscopes was not included in the Kensal VanHolde textbook.

COMMENTS.
Today the Marina Seabright chromosome banding refers standard cytogenetic locations of DNA sequence. David Freifelder, was among the many scientists in the era leading to the HUMAN GENOME PROJECT. The world has moved on, but the present generation is involved in newer methods that did not exist in the 1970’s
