Only humans can speak amongst the 232 muted-primates that are 232 speechless species of primates.
COMMENTS.
The science in this SciFi novel is “cytogenetics”, which the study of chromosomal DNA. The human chromosomes are shown ABOVE.
And BELOW are the #2 chromosomes in order from left-to-right of: human, chimpanzee, gorilla, and orangutan.
The number two (#2) chromosome is all that is different between humans and the “other primates”.
