土鍋 “Donabe” どなべ is a clay-pot used in Japanese cooking. Tadashi Ono & Harris Salat, “Japanese Hot Pots: Comforting One-Pot Meals” , 2009 is an excellent collection of “donabe” clay-pot recipes. If you do not have any stovetop clay-pots, “donabe” is a good first start.
