INTRODUCTION.
Tactile sensors in the skin are five (5):
- Meissner corpuscles
- Pacinian corpuscles
- Riffini corpuscles
- Merkel disks
- Free-Nerve endings
These five (5) tactile sensors are shown in schematic diagram ABOVE. Homunculus is a term for “inner man” by neurologist for brain cerebral cortex representation. For Louis Braille’ and other blind persons tactile sensors and ears are used in three (3) spaces:
- Space of body.
- Space around body.
- Space of navigating the body.
