INTRODUCTION.
The “Classic of Internal Medicine”, is a narrative’ with story being told to Huang Di (黃帝)Yellow Emperor. It was written in Ancient China and was the beginning of acupuncture’. The narrative’ requires the reader to follow the symbols that make up this narrative’ allegory’.
“ALLEGORY’ versus SYMBOLISM”
Symbolism.
Symbolism is the method of representing things by symbols, or of imbuing things with a symbolic meaning or character. Symbolism is a literary device. Symbolism is the literary device that adds allegorical meaning to the text.
Allegory’.
Allegory’ is a story or poem which can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one. Allegory’ is a narrative’. Allegory’ is created by using symbolism.
COMMENTS.
Yellow Emperor, “Classic of Internal Medicine” is famous in history even if Huang Di (黃帝) Yellow Emperor maybe a mythic figure. Myths operate in the Chinese narrative allegory that propitiate acupuncture today.
Acupoints are zero (0) to three-hundred-sixty (360) skin locations shown ABOVE. Chinese acupuncture is not about to go away; because, mythological are not the Yellow Emperor acupuncture is medical practice today. The allegory and symbol are not translated into speech of today. What was said amounts to religious text by an ancient thinker about Medicine.
