Maldives
are group of island atolls in the Indian Ocean, shown BELOW. The Maldives national capital is Malé.

Garudiya
is the national dish of the Maldives; and, “garudiya” is a tuna fish soup.



Most countries of the Indian Ocean are predominantly fishes eating (shown on map BELOW). The per capita consumption of fishes is 12 pounds per year in India.
India’s meat of choice is “freshwater fish”; however, the Maldive’s meat of choice is “marine fish”.
