Here I present: Raghavan Iyer, “Betty Crocker’s Indian Home Cooking”, 2001 which was an India recipes cookbook.

The top photograph of cookware and kitchen utensils used in Indian homes is exotic from an American perspective.  My favorite Indian kitchen tool is the “sev chakri” (shown above in the photograph).  The “sev chakri” is a noodle press; but, it is used in forming food other than noodles also. With a “sev chakri” it is possible to press formed “sweet/savory” snacks into a frying pan of oil to cook snacks.

The recipes I show here are “Homemade Cheese” & “Spicy Homemade Cheese”. The Hindi word for cheese is “paneer”; and, it assumed one knows how to make “paneer” (homemade cheese).

Here I presented: Raghavan Iyer, “Betty Crocker’s Indian Home Cooking”, 2001 which was an India recipes cookbook.  The two recipes I selected from the cookbook  were “Homemade Cheese” & “Spicy Homemade Cheese”.   The selection of recipes was based on the role of milk in Indian cuisine.
