Ray Bradbury, “Fahrenheit 451”, 1953.

 
Ray Bradbury, “Fahrenheit 451”, 1953 was a dystopian science fiction novel of  Firefighters burning books. The temperature of “paper” ignition  is 451 degrees Fahrenheit (thus the title).  Guy Montag the lead character is a Fireman, and the protagonist of the novel.  Guy Montag is opposed to burning books and quits that Fire Department. The protagonist decides that saving the literary and cultural works of books is right.
Ray Bradbury, “Fahrenheit 451”, 1953 sold over 3,000,000 copies and is part of the cultural impact of Ray Bradbury as a writer.  Political science fiction was common during the era “Fahrenheit 451” was published in.  Totalitarian government’s are often dystopian fiction novels; and, this novel is a classic of the genre.
