E. J. Michael WITZEL has written a book on myths. The mythical aspect of fire predates history.

In 1789, the Antoine Lavoisier published Elements’ of Chemistry. The periodic table’ of Lavoisier is shown ABOVE. Lavoisier listed: light, heat, oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen ATOP his periodic table’. Antoine Lavoisier placed light and heat in the periodic table’ because of “fire” is a philosophical myth. Myth of fire is 1 million years old with humanity using fire in ritual.
Fire is heat and light; but in the “Fire Temple of Yazd”, PERSIA (shown BENEATH) the fire myth and fire ritual date back to the invention of cuneiform writing in the third millennium BC.
