Here I present: “Dopamine Receptor”, Victor McKusick, Mendelian Inheritance in Man’, 1966. 多巴胺受體。(DRD5).
INTRODUCTION.
Dopamine receptors are a class of G protein-coupled that are prominent in the central nervous system (CNS). Dopamine receptors activate different effectors through not only G-protein coupling but also signaling through different protein (dopamine receptor-interacting proteins) interactions. The neurotransmitter dopamine is the primary endogenous ligand for dopamine receptors.
The existence of multiple types of receptors for dopamine was first proposed in 1976. There are at least five subtypes of dopamine receptors, D1, D2, D3, D4, and D5.
There is evidence that Dopamine Receptor type-5 (DRD5) is encoded on cytogenetic location 4p16.1 and genomic coordinates 4:9,781,634-9,784,009. The screenshot of the DRD5 gene 2,376 bp (base pairs) of DNA sequence length is shown BELOW. Nine (9) other genes besides DRD5 in the 4p16.1 cytogenetic location are listed BENEATH.
