Here I present: David Freifelder, Physical Biochemistry’: Applications to Biochemistry’ & Molecular Biology”, 1976. 物理生物化學。
INTRODUCTION.
When David Freifelder published Physical Biochemistry’ in 1976 there was no known method to isolate chromosomal organelles . The use of “fluorescent activated cell sorters” (FACS, shown atop) was a breakthrough in the study of intact-whole chromosomal DNA. It was only just realized that the chromosomal organelles consisted of chromosome-sized DNA molecules. The human genome project was possible because the methodology that emerged in the 1970’s. Today in 2024, in the post Human Genome Project era we have forgotten the ignorance of earlier years. Ignorance was blissful in an era when you thought you knew.
