Here I present: Monisha Rajesh मोनीषा राजेश, “Around India in Eighty Trains”, Part Two (II), 2012 which was a travelogue.
Monisha Rajesha used an Indrail pass in “Around India in Eighty Trains”, 2012 which was a special railway pass available to foreign nationals created along the lines of the Eurail Pass.
Shown BELOW is route taken by 80 trains of Monisha Rajesh, during the writing of the book.
The Indrail pass was for limited travel without reservation of a ticket on the Indian Railways network. This ticket was available for a special time period from half a day to 90 days. However, India has twenty (20) metro cities; and, the subway system in Delhi and nineteen other (19) metro railways are good. The metro rail (subways) go to stations within urban areas.

SUMMARY.
Monisha Rajesh going completely round all of India is task well suited for an Indrail pass (equivalent to Eurail pass).
However, you can go around Europe by trains; and, you can go around the cities (Paris, Rome, Berlin, etcetera) by subways.
Similarly, you can go around India by trains; and, you can go around the cities (Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta, etcetera) by subways.
The metro rail cities are the Blue-letter “M” on the ABOVE map of India.
Tourist attractions are always available at subway stations of urban rail; but, train rides are for viewing the countryside.
