Here I present: Aharon Dolgopolsky, “The Nostratic Macrofamily & Linguistic Paleontology”, 1998 which was a linguistic science book. The above schematic drawing shows “Indo-European” is one part of the “Nostratic” language macrofamily. “Nostratic” language macrofamily is composed of the language families listed below.
NOSTRATIC Macrofamily.
1. Eurasiatic languages.
i. Indo-European languages.
ii. Uralic languages.
iii. Altaic languages.
2. Afro-Asiatic languages.
3. Kartvelian languages.
4. Dravidian languages.
The language tree drawing below shows “Nostratic” & “Dene-Caucasian” as the two main branches of linguistic tree.
The two branches of the linguistic tree are part of the “Sinosphere” & “Indosphere” of language types shown in the map below.
Nostratic is the Indosphere geography; and, Dene-Caucasian is the Sinosphere geography.
Languages in the “Sinosphere” (Dene-Caucasian) tend to be analytic, with little morphology, monosyllabic or sesquisyllabic lexical structures, extensive compounding, complex tonal systems, and serial verb constructions.
Languages in the “Indosphere” (Nostratic) tend to be more agglutinative, with polysyllabic structures, extensive case and verb morphology, and detailed marking of interpropositional relationships.

Aharon Dolgopolsky (1930-2012) was one of the founders of “Nostratic” linguistics. Edward Sapir was one of the founders of “Dene-Caucasian” (Sino-Dene) linguistics.
These two language macrofamily branch have an “African” macrofamily as the “root-origin” of the “Nostratic” & “Dene-Caucasian” branch macrofamilies. Below is a diagram of “Afro-Asiatic” part of the “Nostratic” macrofamily.
Niger-Kordofanian, Nilosaharan & Khoisan languages make up the three language families of the “African” (root-origin) of the Nostratic (Indosphere) & “Dene-Caucasian” (Sinosphere) branches.
