Yuji Ichioka (1936-2002) was an authority in “Immigration Studies”; and, “The Issei”, 1988 was an example of his Japanese-American scholarship.
Yuji 一世 Ichioka, “The Issei” 一世, 1988 (as shown below and above) is available in both English and Japanese translations. The term “Asian-American” was first coined by Yuji Ichioka in 1968.
