Alfvin Toffler, “Future Shock”, 1970 was a nonfiction psychological, sociology book. Alvin Toffler’s definition of “future shock”: is the dizzying disorientation brought on by the premature arrival of the future.

 The book was a bestseller with  6,000,000 copies sold. Sociology is a “soft” science, as is  Psychology; however, science fiction is often these sciences.  Alvin Toffler is a  self-described “futurist”; and, Futurism is at the core of science fiction.
