Miyuki Hatoyama 鳩山 幸, “Home Cooking with Japan’s First Lady”, 2010 was a 40-recipe, cookbook by the wife then-Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama. I have selected four recipes from the book as examples of Miyuki Hatoyama’s cooking (besides this English cookbook, she wrote 3 Japanese cookbooks).
Four recipes from the book are good examples of the rest of the book. Recipe #1. “Jjigae” Korean Hot Pot with Seafood. Recipe #2. Breaded Lamb Chop. Recipe #3. Oven-Baked, Potatoes with Sardines. Recipe #4. Prosciutto and Cream Cheese Salad.
I bought this cookbook in 2010 and have tried all the other 36-recipes in the book. Besides, the four recipes shown below that I mentioned: Miyuki Hatoyama’s “Ham with Pineapple” in “Home Cooking with Japan’s First Lady”, 2010 is my favorite for the Christmas Dinner meal. The “Ham with Pineapple (crushed pineapple)” recipe has “clove” spice that is a Christmas tradition.
