Nathaniel Kleitman, “Sleep and Wakefulness”, 1963.

EEG was the topic of an earlier blog post of Michael Crichton, “The Terminal Man”, 1972.  The above book Nathaniel Kleitman, “Sleep and Wakefulness”, 1963 is also about  EEG readings.   Electroencephalogram (EEG) readings were studied by Nathaniel Kleitman during REM sleep.  Rapid Eye Movement (REM) occurs during dreaming.  Hans Berger, “On the Electroencephalogram”, 1929 was the first EEG study in history.
